While you must leave your cats at home, CPCC have invited MCSPCA and Jersey Shore Animal Foundation along to the convention to host an adoption booth where you will find a handful of highly adoptable cats & kittens available for adoption. Catsbury Park Cafe has worked closely with both of these organizations of the last 18 months and we’re really excited to see how many purrefectly suited furrever homes we can find over the course of the convention.
Yes you will, sign up at the booth first, and then you’ll be taken to meet the adoptable cats in our very own adoption room.
Unfortunately no, due to health regulations, same day adoptions made via the MCSPCA will need to be taken off site once adoption is final. Arrangements will be made with them to collect the your furry friend at a mutually agreed time so that you don’t miss out on any of the other fun activities at the convention.
The MCSPCA is a non-profit organization that serves the homeless, neglected and abused animals of Monmouth County. The MCSPCA takes in Monmouth County stray animals as well as pets whose families can no longer care for them. The MCSPCA has two adoption centers, a Wellness Clinic and a spay/neuter clinic.
Prior to the establishment of the Jersey Shore Animal Foundation, the founding members belonged to various animal groups and were instrumental in the set-up, care and organization of an emergency pet shelter for evacuees during Hurricane Sandy. The best part was helping to coordinate rescue missions and reuniting displaced owners with their pets. It was at this time that the need for the Jersey Shore Animal Foundation was identified. It seemed that each individual animal group was working independently and there was no unified movement allowing groups to combine efforts and resources to work together. Using our many years of experience in the animal industry and our established network of resources, our hope is that the Jersey Shore Animal Foundation can link various animal groups, rescues and organizations with those in need so that resources can be shared for the betterment of the animals in any situation.
The Jersey Shore Animal Foundation is very proud of our efforts to get animals out of local shelters and place them into foster homes or with a rescue group where they can be safe and eventually placed up for adoption.
MCSPCA adoption fees are $135 for kittens 4 months and younger; $90 for over 4 months. The 2nd kitten/cat is half-price.
Jersey Shore Animal Foundation adoption fees are $90 per adoption.
MCSPCA will be doing on the spot adoptions.
